THE AERONAUTS : Movie Review

How can you hold yourself from not watching the movie of Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones. After Theory of Everything, both actors again came together to give a spectacular performance and to unfold the life of meteorologists back in 1850s.
Being a geography student, I have an affinity for climate and  geography related movies and documentaries. I will try to keep this blog as lucid as possible and won't get into the technicalities of geography, will tell you about the epipahny that these two daredevils had breakthrough in the field of meterology.

The way Eddie(James Glaisher) speaks and shows his emotion is splendid. Felicity(Amelia Wren) was just icing on the cake, her eyecatching performance will leave you dumbstruck. She along with James shows exactly what it takes to discover something which is considered as ludicrous in the eyes of so called 'sophisticated people' and  what happens when someone reaches the edge of tropopause (about 9km from earth's surface) with no oxygen.

The perspecacity of Mr.James in the field of climate speaks of his indissolvable determination to foretell the weather which is a capricious topic. Everyone in the society had rejected to fund him for his expedition because they all considered him as a climate sleuth. He along with Miss.Wren had managed to get the hot air balloon and had defied all odds to give more knowledge about climate to the world which was way more valuable than their life.

The cinematography never lets you feel that it is some kind imagination. With every feet the balloon ascends makes you feels like you are ascending too. When Miss.Wren goes on the top of balloon to open the valve at the height of 36,000 feet will leave your senses numb for a while, you will start imagining yourself at her place and undoubtedly she is one of the bravest women. I will say it again "Felicity did an outstanding and stunning performance".

I would put forward that there was requirememt for more details about the life of James and Wren and what other findings they had accomplished. But overall this piece of science is must watch, if you are a science freak and also an adventurer. The work of these people is of great significance and what we read today- troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere & exosphere was something that they had almost sacrificed their lives for and  had proved to the world that atmosphere consists of layers.
