2021: A new beginning

Greetings to all for New Year,2021.

Arrival of new year, pounds of expectations but I was rewinding the cassettes of my life to meet my brothers. It had been almost an year since I had met any of them, so as soon as I entered in the territories of these rangers two had escorted me with a very warm welcome and took me to the canteen(which was closed). Their main motive was to highjack the home-made puri sabji which they didn't get because we had already finished it up in train, henceforth we had to face the consequences which were lots and lots of praises(negative ones) and then we were taken to rooms where more such ravens were already rubbing their beaks. Here again, we recieved adoration of higher quality.

After meeting everyone, we were still calling each other with same sobriquets. As it was 31st so our dear Sunny(selected for NDA145) had already planned for it. Arrangements from food to drinks, all were pre-planned. As we were about to proceed with our menu, the owner had started to check the room, keeping everything aside everyone started to run in whichever direction they could, except Krishna(to whom the room was alloted only). We met at 11 again in the same venue and with no delay started to prepare the meals. At that very night all the scavengers(including me) had turned into masterchef who came up with a palatable dish.

Here comes I, who was given the task to chop the onions but I wasn't able to open my eyes, so putting my armour on I was upfront to face the splashes of sodium. If I remember it correctly, this sheild was of no importance except traping the vapour and reducing the visibility. So, I had somewhat used it for important work.

New year came with lots of hope for bringing normalcy in forth coming months. We had enjoyed with lots of nostalgic vibes of school and especially mess, so we decided to make the best cuisine of school in this room. We planned and shortlisted the items that were to be made in upcoming days and here comes the first dish-

                            RAJMA-PURI
It is a moniker of sainik school, which can attract any individual with its essence. Our HoD Abhay kumar had the resposibility to meet the standard of school's rajma. The spices were all in placed and here it began. As we had poured the rajma in curry, we recalled that we had forgot to boil it, then what, we left it on heater and let the rajma boil in curry only. Meanwhile, I along with HoD started to make the puris, around 70-80 puris. After 2 hours all puris were ready and rajma too with an incense in the corridor. The work of HoD was appreciated while the others started to circulate the images of rajma on whatsapp group to fill others with envy.

                           
                                CUTLET
Another cuisine on our list was cutlet. Cutlet, bread, milk and sauce this used to be our morning breakfast on monday, wednesday and friday(If I recall correctly). To fullfil the expectations of everyone our HoD again took the intiative and brought 4kg of potatoes among 10 people( you must be wondering the quantity but during our school days, we used to eat 35-45 cutlet each, which was our breakfast, sometimes lunch as well). It was our dinner so everyone was eager to grab as much cutlets as possible except Deepesh whose aim was to lick sauce, as much as possible, which we had prohibited but still he was manage to. I along with our masterchef, Deepsagar(whose culinary skills are next to Sanjeev Kapoor) started to bring out crispy and crunchy cutlet which started to disappear as soon as they were out, hence we made a pact to decide number of pieces per person before gulping them. We had really made tasty cutlets but our HoD had to leave it in between due to some reason whose share was kept in cupboard till the morning.

After meeting all and spending five days, it was time to bid adieu to all and get back to studies. We had nostalgic days of mess's supper with our brothers on side (more than sufficient for new year). Had a grand celebration of new year and wished Sunny a heartiest congratulation for his upcoming NDA journey. 
Hoping that this new year will give flight to our dreams and compensate all the losses that we had in 2020.
