This book was recommended on my instagram page. When I went in market I found this book on the same day. This book narrates a story of a count who was detained in a hotel for his writing against the state. This piece of fiction speaks a pertinent story of Russia during late1880s. If you want to know about the lifestyle of people, the socio-economic condition and the czarist regime with an exhilarating story, then it is an apt choice. This book will enhance your knowledge of different beverages(I would say with every next page you will acquaint yourself with a new taste and flavor). The story teaches us that luxury is not hinged to flamboyant contents only, it can be found everywhere, it just requires a will to live with it. This book can be very relatable to 21st century, confinement of The Count speaks that how can we remain happy even with empty pockets and how can every single nerve of our body gets accustomed with it. The knowledge of the writer, though he is an American, shakes you every moment by way of representing his thoughts of Russian literature. When you'll start reading, you will find an honest(who was detained for contempt)count whose life was caught in a hotel. The countenance which the writer had created through his words are phenomenal. I would suggest, if you think that you don't have what you should have, then this piece of literature will teach you a great lesson. It will delve deep in your thoughts with its mesmerizing story and at the same time it will coach you, mentor you, educate you and introduce you to a different way of life where "little is more".

The Argumentative Indian

The Argumentative Indian, this book should be read by every Indian, no matter what his/her political affiliations are. Amartya Sen, a genius, had very well distributed the topics in this book with eloquent arguments and counter-arguments. When you start this book, it will take you from the period of Akbar to British era. It had touched those aspects in Indian cultures over which we are seeing the rising fundamentalist tendencies on daily basis. The writer had taken the ride on the subjects which had not even imagined, e.g.- calendar and compared it with the rest of the world. This book will teach you the real essence of secularism, over which we are seeing the rising protest now-days in which the slogans of Lord Ram are taken along with Bharat Mata. The reach of intellect of Sen will leave you spellbound and it will realize you that we have got no knowledge about the subjects over which we are fighting. It gives you enough knowledge for any debate on politics by which you can make other members' mouth shut(provided, they must be  ready to assimilate your thoughts in debate :D). The inter-relation of history and culture with present will teach you that history is a boon which can't be neglected if we want to move forth in life, those who don't look back will remain the same with little knowledge and obstinate thoughts. From the very first chapter of this book, you will start appreciating the mindfulness of Sen's arguments. They will start getting in your head as you move ahead in chapters. I would say, you might find it difficult when you will reach the culture sections which contain few abstruse topics. Overall, when you'll be over with this book, you definitely find a change in your intellect, most importantly you will realize that being a braggart with no knowledge in head(like many of us) is like a ship without compass. So, a sincere request from my side to read this eye-opener for your own knowledge enhancement.

Crime And Punishment

Crime and Punishment, before speaking about this book I want to bow before Dostoyevsky, who had written such an incredible piece of literature which can not be compared. Dostoyevsky is well know for his literary work, he has told that how can the words be presented to bring tears, goosebumps, smile, laugh, anxiety, anguish, and a number of different emotions. The story goes around an intelligent and handsome man who murders a pawnbroker and wasn't caught by anyone. The words will speak about the life of the person after he had committed such a heinous crime. It will take you on a rollercoaster ride with strangulating story. It shows how a person run from himself after doing such a sinful act. He will fell down in his own eyes. He will face recurrent strokes of delirium and will caught up in a conundrum. I, even you, can relate the story with our life, whenever we had done something wrong, we  feel bad in ourself , then imagine the state of that person who had committed a murder. Writer, with his mind-blowing imagination, gives a picturesque situation of Russia during 18-19th century. The story states not only about the mental state of that young man but it will also speak about the mental trauma building in the people who are connected to him. Our family, friends, etc. also suffers when we do something wrong. It implicitly states that very criminal is a victim in himself due to the miserable and pathetic living conditions he had. We are very lucky that we have everything for our needs but there are some people who are bereft of them and these causes deflect a person in his life, no matter how much intelligent he had been. It is, undoubtedly, a piece of literature which has to be preserved. Sometimes the story goes to such an extent that you won't be able to control the tears from your eyes. You might also face the same mental trauma which the other guy in book is facing. The cover of this books speaks explicitly-a psychological drama, which it is. I consider myself to be very small to give any review about this book. The more I appreciate it, the less my appreciations are. You might be intimidated by the length of the book (about 600 pages) but believe me you will understand the value of the book when you will invest your time in reading it.
